My mother in law that gave us the idea to buy the TR875. My wife and I were eating breakfast at her house and the subject of finding "decent" bread came up.
The toast she was serving was amazingly hearty and flavorful, and we asked her where she bought it. She replied that she had not bought it, rather, the toast was a product of bread that she had made with herBreadman TR875bread machine.
Apparently, she and my father in law had gotten sick and tired of bread they were getting at the store. Most of it was pumped full of air, or if it was any good at all, it was too expensive.
They both agreed to start looking for a bread machine. They finally found two bread amchines on Amazon.com that they liked. The Panasonic SD YD250, and the Breadman TR875 bread machine.
They read some reviews on each of them, most of which were very positive. Two factors made them decide to purchase the Breadman TR875. First, the SD YD250 did not have a viewing window, and secondly, they read one particularly positive TR875 review.
With The Breadman TR875- We Finally Discovered What Bread Should Taste Like!
So, my wife and I followed her parent's lead, and decided to look at bread makers on Amazon.com.
We actually looked at several, and read the reviews, listed the prices, etc.
When all was said and done, we simply could not find a bread maker for under 100.00, that even came CLOSE to the Breadman TR875! So we took advantage of the free shipping, and decided to be the proud owners of the TR875!
So, in anticipation of it's arrival, we selected a good spot in our pantry to place it. The Breadman TR875 arrived just a few days later, in perfect condition!
My first impression was much the same as when we first saw the unit at my mother in law's house. I couldn't believe how compact it is! We had owned an old Sonoma model bread machine back in the early 90's, and it was a tank compared to the Breadman TR875!
So, we anxiously took it out of the box, and started looking at the owner's manual! It is well written, and easy to follow, so we knew that our first loaf of home baked bread was not far away!
